We install Sigenergy SigenStor from Peakhurst: battery, hybrid inverter and EV charging in one stack, for new and existing solar across Sydney. We handle the battery rebate, the network approval and the paperwork.

The federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount is paid on usable capacity, and it tapers as the battery gets bigger. The first 9 kWh module earns the full rate. The second is split between the full rate and 60%, the third is paid at 60%, and from the fourth most of each module is paid at 15%.
Sydney homes that added a battery between May and August 2026 averaged about 27 kWh, three 9 kWh modules. One SigenStor controller takes up to six, so you can add capacity later.
| Approved configuration | Usable | Rebate now | From 1 Jan 2027 |
|---|---|---|---|
| SigenStor, 1 × 9 kWh | 9 kWh | $2,260 | $1,890 |
| SigenStor, 2 × 9 kWh | 18 kWh | $4,110 | $3,440 |
| SigenStor, 3 × 9 kWh | 27 kWh | $5,480 | $4,590 |
| SigenStor, 4 × 9 kWh | 36 kWh | $5,920 | $4,960 |
| SigenStor, 5 × 9 kWh | 45 kWh | $6,250 | $5,250 |
| SigenStor, 6 × 9 kWh | 54 kWh | $6,440 | $5,400 |
Configurations from the Clean Energy Regulator's approved battery list (October 2026). Rebate worked out with the STC factor of 6.8 for May to December 2026 and 5.7 for January to June 2027 (DCCEEW), the 100/60/15% capacity bands, and $37 a certificate. Certificates stop at 50 kWh. The certificate price moves; your quote shows the exact figure.
The rebate is fixed on the day your SigenStor is installed. From 1 January two modules earn about $670 less, and three about $890 less.
Figures from Sigenergy’s Australian datasheets, and what they mean in a Sydney home.
Usable capacity on the approved list. Stack one to six modules on one controller, up to 54 kWh.
When the grid drops, the home switches to the battery with no break, so computers and the modem stay on.
On a 12 kW single-phase controller. The controller is the hybrid inverter, so new panels don’t need a separate one.
The optional EV DC module charges a car straight from the battery and panels, and can power the home from compatible cars.
Modules work from −20°C to 55°C. In a Sydney summer we still look for a shaded wall or the garage.
767 × 270 × 265 mm, stacked on the floor or on a wall bracket. We check the spot and the path to the switchboard at the site visit.
The rebate needs rooftop solar, new or existing. How SigenStor connects depends on what is on your roof now.
Panels and SigenStor go in together. Its controller runs the panels, the battery and the backup in one stack.
SigenStor can take your panels over and the old inverter comes off. Handy when the inverter is near the end of its life.
SigenStor goes in alongside it. Your current inverter keeps running the panels, and excess solar charges the battery instead of being exported.
Three-phase SigenStor controllers run from 5 to 30 kW, so the battery can supply all three phases. We agree which circuits to back up at the site visit.
Add the EV DC module for up to 25 kW DC charging from the battery and panels, and power back to the home from compatible cars.
Reviews from our solar, battery and air conditioning customers across southern and eastern Sydney.
We’ve used Aleks and team at two different homes and have referred him to many friends, family and neighbours. Prompt, efficient, safe and tidy. The team are lovely and Aleks goes above and beyond to help clients. Great company!
We engaged Alex and the team to replace a failed ducted aircon, and took the opportunity to install solar at the same time.
The process from inspection and advice, through to specification and quoting…
If you are considering a Solar System , do yourself a favour and talk to Sydney Air and Solar.
From the first part of the process it was made extremely easy to understand all of the options available and what would occur…
We check your switchboard, where the stack can go, your phases, your solar and your car.
Controller size, number of modules, the circuits it will back up, and one price with the rebate already off.
We apply to Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy first. Our own crew does the install.
mySigen app set up, a blackout test, and the compliance certificate and rebate claim lodged.
No subcontractors: the electricians who assess your home are the ones who install.
Written workmanship warranty, on top of Sigenergy’s manufacturer warranty.
Rebate claim, network approval and the compliance certificate.
Free, no obligation. We reply within one to two business days.
We don’t publish a package price, because it depends on the controller size, how many modules you need, your switchboard and the circuits you want backed up. You get one firm price after a free site assessment, with the federal battery rebate already off: about $4,110 on two 9 kWh modules installed in 2026.
Enough to cover what you use after dark, which we work out from your electricity bill. Keep in mind the rebate is lower on capacity above 14 kWh, and lower again above 28 kWh.
Yes. SigenStor either takes over your panels with its own controller, or goes in alongside your current inverter. Which one depends on your system, and we tell you at the site visit.
It can back up the whole home or chosen circuits, and it switches over with no break. How long it lasts depends on how many modules you have and what is running.
Yes. One controller takes up to six modules. The rebate on the extra modules is worked out at the rate in force when they go in.
Yes, with the SigenStor EV DC module, at up to 25 kW straight from the battery and panels. With compatible cars it can also send power back to the home.
The federal discount needs the battery to be installed with rooftop solar, either existing or new. If you don’t have solar yet, we install both together.
In the mySigen app, which shows solar, battery, grid and home use, and lets you set backup and charging preferences.
