St George is our home ground. Our office is in Peakhurst, and our own licensed crew installs solar and batteries from Hurstville and Oatley to Kogarah, Bexley and Rockdale.

Across the 12 St George postcodes there are about 33 registered solar systems for every 100 houses. Peakhurst and Mortdale–Oatley lead at 37, and nearly 4,000 St George homes have added a battery since July 2025.
solar systems per 100 St George houses
Clean Energy Regulator postcode data to August 2026, against houses and townhouses at the 2021 Census (Australian Bureau of Statistics). Systems include upgrades, so read it as how common solar is, not an exact share of homes.
St George homes choose large batteries: Hurstville averages 36.7 kWh. Since the federal discount started paying less above 14 kWh on 1 May 2026, the average has dropped by about 7 kWh, the biggest fall of the four areas we cover.
For most St George homes, 10 to 15 kWh covers the evening and still earns the full rate. If a quote pushes you towards 40 kWh, ask what you would use it for.
The rebate is fixed on the day the battery goes in. From 1 January the same battery earns about 16% less.
Around Hurstville, Kogarah and Penshurst, small roofs are often shaded by neighbours. Enphase microinverters keep one shaded panel from dragging down the rest.
In Oatley, Lugarno, Peakhurst Heights and Blakehurst, larger unshaded roofs suit a 10 kW system and a battery.
Hurstville, Kogarah and Rockdale have many apartments. Solar on a strata building needs the owners corporation; we can tell you what is practical first.
Sans Souci, Dolls Point, Kyle Bay and the Georges River foreshore get salt air. We use stainless fixings and coastal-rated equipment there.
With your address. We check your usage and your roof.
Panel layout, battery size and one price, rebates already off.
Our own crew. Usually one day for solar, half a day for an added battery.
App set up, a walk-through, and the grid connection lodged with Ausgrid.
Aiko ABC panels, Enphase microinverters, Tesla Powerwall 3 and Sigenergy SigenStor batteries, Schletter racking. More on our solar installation service and battery installation.
Written workmanship warranty, on top of the manufacturer warranties.
Rebate claims, network approval and the compliance certificate. Our quote is the price after rebates.
Free, no obligation. We reply within one to two business days.
We claim them for you and take them off the invoice.
About $1,700 off a 6.6 kW system in 2026, under the federal Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme.
About $252 per kWh for the first 14 kWh, less above that. Steps down again on 1 January 2027.
An extra payment if you join a virtual power plant. Optional, and not right for everyone.
Reviews from our solar, battery and air conditioning customers across southern and eastern Sydney.
We’ve used Aleks and team at two different homes and have referred him to many friends, family and neighbours. Prompt, efficient, safe and tidy. The team are lovely and Aleks goes above and beyond to help clients. Great company!
We engaged Alex and the team to replace a failed ducted aircon, and took the opportunity to install solar at the same time.
The process from inspection and advice, through to specification and quoting…
If you are considering a Solar System , do yourself a favour and talk to Sydney Air and Solar.
From the first part of the process it was made extremely easy to understand all of the options available and what would occur…
Our office is at Boundary Road, Peakhurst, in the middle of St George. Most St George jobs are a short drive from base.
About 18,700 solar systems are registered across the region’s 12 postcodes, roughly 33 for every 100 houses. Peakhurst and Mortdale–Oatley have the highest rate at 37.
Before the rebate changed on 1 May 2026, the full rate applied to more of each battery, and many homes bought 30 kWh or more. Since then the average has dropped to about 28 kWh.
Usually, yes. Small or shaded roofs suit panel-level electronics like Enphase microinverters. We will tell you honestly if the roof is too small to be worth it.
Yes. We repair, maintain and clean solar systems, replace a failed solar inverter, and add solar batteries to an existing solar system.
We do not publish package prices, because the cost of solar panels depends on your roof, the system size, the switchboard and your tariff. You get a firm price after the site assessment, with rebates already off and the payback worked out from your own electricity prices.
Yes. Air conditioning is the other half of our business, and doing both together means one crew and one visit for the electrical work.
We do not publish package prices, because the cost of solar panels depends on your roof, the system size, your switchboard and how much power you use. You get one firm price after a free site assessment, with the STC rebate already off: about $1,700 on a 6.6 kW solar system in 2026.
Check three things: that the designer and installer hold Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accreditation, that the electrical contractor licence is current, and that the workmanship warranty is in writing. Ours are licence 202500C and up to 10 years, and every solar installation is done by our own crew, not subcontractors.
Often, yes. Batteries like Tesla Powerwall 3 and Sigenergy SigenStor have their own built-in inverter, so they can work alongside an older solar inverter. We test your existing system first and tell you whether a battery installation makes sense.
On most homes, no. Rooftop solar is exempt development under the NSW Transport and Infrastructure SEPP 2021. If your home is a heritage item or sits in a heritage conservation area, panels on the roof facing the street need sign-off from Georges River Council or Bayside Council first. We check this before we quote.
