An electric vehicle (EV) charger is a device that recharges electric vehicles by means of supplying electric energy. Residential EV chargers range from basic models that plug into a standard powerpoint (Level 1 chargers) to more advanced charging systems that can charge much faster (such as Level 2 chargers).
The process of charging an electric vehicle is quite simple. Your electric vehicle connects to the charger using a cable that plugs into a port on your vehicle. The charger then delivers electricity to your vehicle’s battery. Most modern chargers and vehicles also communicate with each other during the charging process, allowing the charger to adjust its power output based on the battery’s current state of charge and temperature to ensure efficient and safe charging.
